Gary Lester, Half Back, can usually be seen wearing the number 6 shirt and joined the Sharks in March 1997, the year of our promotion to the Super League.   His very first game for the Sharks was at Lock Lane in February 1997. 

Gary was born in Sydney, Australia, on the 15th of May 1972.  He has played for Cronulla and St. George - both of which are Australian clubs.  Gary is (unfortunately for my Auntie Julie), married.
